Day 01: Quito - Refuge Cotopaxi Cara Sur - Base Camp
We leave Quito at 11am in an all terrain vehicle. It will take three hours to arrive at the Refuge Cotopaxi Cara Sur (3900 m) in Rasularca. Here we will prepare the equipment and start the three hour ascent to base camp (3750 m) where we have fixed tents and can enjoy a tasty dinner then relax.

Day 02: Campo Alto - South Peak - Refuge Cotopaxi Cara Sur - Quito
At midnight we wake for a typical energizing mountain breakfast then at 1am start our final six hour climb to the south peak of Cotopaxi where you will experience the breathtaking views and its famous crater. The descent to base camp will take two hours and from there another hour to arrive at the Refuge Cotopaxi Cara Sur where you can prepare for your return to Quito.

Note: The itinerary of the adventure tour can be changed by the guide due to security reasons (climate, conditions etc) as well as by the national park administration due to changing national park rules. Nevertheless the security and the interest of the participants will always have first priority.
