Nicky Lodge
We are a very enthusiastic and experienced Ecuadorian team. We have been working and travelling around the Amazon Rainforest for many years studying and learning about its pristine nature. We offer new explorations for those people who really love travelling and are in search of something different from the usual jungle experience. We aim to satisfy the specialized needs of each client. We feel that is our responsibility to explore the rainforest in a responsible and environmentally friendly manner. As a result, we have developed a responsible tourism policy to ensure that our excursions into the jungle have little impact on the biodiversity of the area and the communities located there in. We believe it is about “giving something back”. Dracaena seeks to aid in the development of local communities by providing positive cultural exchanges and operating in an eco-friendly manner. Ecuador and the Amazon Rainforest Ecuador has much to offer, considered as one of the world hot spots, it has 4 different regions: The Sierra, The coast, The Oriente or Rainforest and Galapagos. Each one with a fascinating and unique people, wildlife and culture. The Amazon Region takes up the other half of the country, spilling east from the gentle eastern slope of the Andes into Perú. Rainforests are defined by low altitude (up to 1,000 meters), high temperatures 25-28° C and daily rainfall. Among the oldest of all ecosystems Amazon basin forests are at least 100 million years old. Large percentages of Ecuador’s animals and plants live into the area. The Jungle Rivers of the Amazon-side of the Andes or the misty cloud forests can provide an opportunity to experience for nature lovers. Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve The Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve protects (603.380 hectares).
