Pacific Beaches of Manta

Ecuador's second port after Guayaquil is an important commercial center with a large fishing fleet and port. The western section comprises steep, narrow streets and the Malecon that fills in the evenings with parties and cars cruising with blaring music. The constant breeze makes it pleasant to walk along the front or stop for a drink at one of the many small bars. Play Murcielago at the west end of the Malecon is very wide. You can walk further west towards the point for spotless beaches and isolation.
