Our Spanish school was established in the summer of 1991 as an Ecuadorian-European collaboration. The combination of the different cultures and mentalities, European and South American, has resulted with great success to ensure our students receive the Spanish education they desire. The principal we work with is a combination of European seriousness towards study and achievement, combined with the light heartedness and relaxed lifestyle of the South Americans; the result is a Spanish School whose primary goal is it to teach quality Spanish in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

As our Spanish school is authorized by the Ministry of Education (ministerial agreement #066 DINNEP) we are able to supply students who complete a minimum of 80 hours of classes with an internationally recognized certificate for the successful conclusion of their studies.

We arrange classes and extra curricula activities in such a way that our pupils will gain an in-depth impression of Ecuador, its people and its cultures. Hence we place emphasis on participation on our trips, as a broader and informal addition to your study curriculum; come with us and mix with the colourful ethnic indigenous groups; dive into the astounding Andean landscapes on our treks; and gorge on the unique and traditional cuisine from region to region. Ecuador is a country full of contrasts; from bright sandy beaches to the mystical dark depths of the jungle; the icy winds on volcano peaks to the humid breezes in the cloud forests, and all just a few hours from one another. No other country offers such diversity.

However, Ecuador is not only a tourist destination but also a country belonging to the developing world with many socio-economic problems. This in mind, our Spanish School is involved with tackling one of the cities key problem areas; that of orphaned children. For 8 years now the school has supported an orphanage for street children, and if pupils wish to get involved with this or another social project, we will guide them to ensure their time and effort is well utilized.
